Welcome to the Manitos Community Memory Project
The Manitos Community Memory Project is an initiative to establish community-based digital cultural heritage archives grounded in the living culture of the villages of northern New Mexico and southern Colorado. The Manitos Community Memory Project is funded by a generous grant from the Mellon Foundation to the New Mexico Highlands University Department of Media Arts & Technology. Project partners include University of New Mexico, New Mexico Humanities Council and the Center for Regional Studies.

A museum of the history of Espanola cared for by the San Gabriel Historical Association
Images, newspaper clippings, documents and pictures related to "La Merced del Pueblo de Chilili" aka the Chilili Land Grant, located on the eastern slope of the Manzano Mountains in New Mexico. The 48,000 acre Land Grant dates from 1841 and 1857, and straddles Bernalillo and Torrance Counties.
This site will display historical information in the forms of photos, articles etc. of the Costilla Valley.
Historical and cultural archives pertaining to the the villages of Dixon and Embudo, New Mexico, the Embudo Valley, Embudo Valley watershed and surrounding areas.
The Historical Working Group is an open group of scholars, historians, artists, and community members with specific interest in historic Santa Cruz de la Cañada, which covers many contemporary communities in the greater Española Valley.
